PKKMB FEB UNY 2023: Compete as Global Citizen

New students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNY experienced an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at the faculty level, last Thursday (10/8). Located in Pancasila Park, more than 1000 new students received explanations from the deans and other speakers regarding university life. This event was attended by the entire student board as well as department leaders. This annual occasion is an opportunity for the freshmen to get to know the faculty more closely, including various regulations and policies directly from the official source.

PKKMB 2023 at FEB UNY is the first to be held offline since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared in Indonesia. Dean of FEB UNY Dr. Siswanto welcomed this year's PKKMB "Make sure you get comprehensive information regarding curriculum, academics, and student affairs. The committee has worked well and welcomed you with hospitality," he explained.

"The faculty provides financial assistance to students who wish to participate in a competition, covering expenses from registration to accommodation and transportation. In addition to earning credits, undergraduate students are now required to accumulate points for their extracurricular activities in order to graduate. These extracurricular achievements can be converted into credit scores," explained Sutirman.

The Vice Dean for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Business (RKSIU) and the Vice Dean for Planning, Finance, General Affairs, and Resources (PKUSD) also encouraged new students. “The PTNBH era requires us to adapt. Facilities and lecture buildings are improved continuously to enhance the quality of education," said PKUSD Vice Dean Dr. Ali Muhson. “The undergraduate study programs at FEB UNY are not only nationally but also internationally accredited. Therefore, as global citizens, we must be prepared to compete with international graduates. FEB UNY has collaborated with many campuses that offer international programs, creating numerous opportunities for students to participate," explained RKSIU Deputy Dean Prof. Setyabudi Indartono, Ph.D. (fdhl)
