Budi Mulia Vocational High School Visit Administration Education Lab

Budi Mulia Tangerang Vocational High School paid a visit to Yogyakarta State University to take part in office simulation learning practices in the laboratory of the Department of Administrative Education, FEB UNY, last Thursday (12/01). This visit was attended by 57 students from the Department of Accounting and Office Automation and Management along with 4 accompanying teachers. The visit began with a welcoming and opening ceremony by the Department of Education Administration of UNY at the FEB UNY Auditorium then ended with the handover of mementos from Budi Mulia Tangerang Vocational.

After the opening and welcoming ceremony, the students of Budi Mulia Vocational High School were directed to the Office Simulation Laboratory to begin training activities. Students are divided into 2 groups to take part in office simulation training activities. The training activities were guided by the Administrative Education Department Lab Coordinator Yuliansah, S.Pd., M.Pd. and assisted by a laboratory assistant. Office Simulation Practice provides students with situations that resemble work in the office world. The training began with an explanation regarding scenarios or storylines for office simulation activities. The storyline of the office simulation practice training is carried out with offline meeting activities in the meeting room directly, online meetings through the zoom meeting platform, and the process of handling incoming and outgoing mail. Participants are given each role by occupying a position that will later be demonstrated following the lab sheet that has been provided so that participants gain experience and learning through the storyline that has been conveyed, such as working in a company.

The students of Budi Mulia Tangerang Vocational High School who took part in the office simulation practice training activities dared to ask questions and tried to carry out office simulation practices properly according to the directions given. Yuliansah hopes that with this practical activity, students will gain new knowledge and experience and be able to understand more about offline and online meeting activities, and handling incoming and outgoing letters which are common activities that are always carried out and implemented when working in a company.
