Held at the Auditorium of the Master’s and Doctoral Program (PMD) Building of FEB UNY, the FEB UNY lecturer team organized a Workshop on Developing Internal Audit Regulations for Ma’arif Educational Institutions (LP Ma’arif) and Formulating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for School Financial Systems on Thursday (July 25). The chairperson, Dr. Kiromim Baroroh, M.Pd., explained that the workshop focused on two main areas: the preparation of SOPs and the development of internal audit regulations.
The workshop was conducted through two panel discussion sessions to explore the topics in depth, namely “The Importance of Developing Internal Audit Regulations for LP Ma’arif” and “Formulating Standard Operating Procedures for School Financial Systems,” particularly for private schools.
The workshop was attended by 50 school principals and treasurers from high schools, vocational schools, and special schools under the supervision of the Ma’arif NU DIY Educational Institution. The first speaker, Dr. Dhyah Setyorini, M.Si., delivered material on financial management and internal audit, while the second speaker, Mahendra Adhi Nugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of internal audit and guided the participants in completing the Internal Control Instrument for the preparation of School Activity and Budget Plans (RKAS). The program continued with mentoring activities at selected schools, namely SMK Ma’arif 1 Sleman and SMK Ma’arif 1 Temon.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). By strengthening governance and transparency in school financial management, the workshop not only enhanced the capacities of principals and treasurers but also promoted the establishment of a more accountable, sustainable, and trusted education system.
